I have been working in video production for many years, across a diverse range of exciting and challenging projects. My journey in video production began in small video production companies, where I gained invaluable experience working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. Tight deadlines were the norm, and I often found myself working through the night to deliver high-quality productions on time. This early experience gave me a strong foundation in video production, project management, and creative problem-solving, all of which have continued to serve me well throughout my career.

At the Royal Veterinary College (RVC), where I currently work, I have been involved in a wide array of video production projects, primarily focused on teaching and instructional videos. I work closely with academic staff to produce video content that supports teaching and enhances the learning experience for students. These videos cover a broad spectrum of topics and are designed to communicate complex information in an accessible and engaging way. In addition to educational videos, I have also worked with the marketing department, producing video content for the RVC’s website and promotional materials.

One of the key aspects of my role at the RVC is ensuring that the video content I produce is both visually appealing and pedagogically sound. This involves collaborating with subject matter experts, scriptwriting, directing, filming, and editing to create high-quality videos that meet the educational goals of the institution. My work has ranged from traditional video production to more dynamic projects involving live-streaming events, including the RVC’s graduation ceremonies at prestigious venues like the Royal Festival Hall.

Beyond my work at the RVC, I have a long-standing passion for video production. Early in my career, I became deeply interested in 3D graphics and animation, which added an extra dimension to my video projects. I later moved on to work with Sound and Light Collective Ltd, where I further honed my skills in multimedia production, managing projects that combined video, animation, and sound. My career then took me to the Medical Research Council (MRC) – Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit in Cambridge, where I focused on creating 2D graphics and illustrations, alongside video production. During this time, I also gained experience in large-format printing and photography, adding to my diverse skill set.

Video production has remained a constant throughout my career, and I continue to push the boundaries of what can be achieved. I thrive on the creative process, from concept development to the technical execution of a finished piece. My approach combines technical proficiency with a deep understanding of storytelling, ensuring that each project not only looks professional but also effectively communicates its intended message.
