Brian Cox

I first started working in small video production companies, my role in the company was Multimedia development, 3D animation and Graphic’s and 2D animation and Graphics. this gave me a good grounding in working in high-pressure working environments, we were often on very tight deadlines and had to work all night on some big projects.

I then started working freelance, I had a few clients one of them was what became Sound and light collective Ltd. So we decided to work together and I became a member of Sound and light collective. My role in SALC was much the same as before but I was at another level in the company so had much more responsibility for the Video, multimedia and Graphic projects. While I was at SALC I was also working part time at Brighton University teaching video production.

I then moved to Cambridge to start work in education I joined the Medical Research Council – Cognition and brain sciences unit, My role was multimedia support, I had to help the scientist make a wide range of graphics, videos and posters. In this role I was meeting with the scientist and working closely with them to meet deadlines and finalise a product they were happy with and met the needs of the studies they were performing.

I then moved to north London where I joined The Royal Veterinary College, where I still am. My role at the RVC is a very wide and varied role, A mixture of photography, graphics, video & Live video streaming, audio & podcasts, managing video delivery platforms, supporting AV room setups and supporting student AV requirements.

I like to keep fit, I like cycling as often as I can, and I also like doing hit training. I am lucky enough to have use of the college gym, and they have some personal trainers that help me with the workouts I do.
